Banquet
We invite you to take a break from the presentations and join us for a night of entertainment! Your travel companions and significant others would be welcome additions to the fun. Enjoy an authentic and traditional tango show in Buenos Aires, accompanied by a delicious “a la carte” dinner in an intimate and exclusive atmosphere of the early twentieth century. “El Querandí” is a completely restored colonial house.
The exquisite “à la carte” dinner has more than thirty options to choose from, over a three-course menu, with cold or hot starters, mains options that include pasta, chicken, fish, beef, lamb and pork, a variety of scrumptious desserts, and soft drinks, beer, wine, coffee and/or tea. During the show, outstanding dancers present five historical moments of tango, to the rhythm of Ado Falasco’s orchestra and talented singers. Melancholy, seduction and passion get on stage every evening to move the audience who shall enjoy an unforgettable dinner.
Your $60.00 USD ticket includes transportation before and after the event (from downtown, Palermo, and Recoleta), dinner, and the show. River Cruise
Unwind after the close of the conference on an afternoon river boat cruise along the Rio de la Plata and its delta! It’s a perfect opportunity to network with colleagues, and see some of the research areas discussed during the conference.
Following the closing ceremonies, cruise guests will board a bus to the port. Boarding begins at 1:45 pm, and the bus will leave promptly at 2:00 pm. As with the banquet, travel companions, spouses and friends are welcome to join us as we take in the natural vistas before we leave Argentina.
Tickets for this post-conference excursion are $42 USD per person. This includes transportation to the boat, the cruise, on-board picada (a light snack of cheese, sausage, olives, etc.), drinks (beer or soda), and return transportation to the museum.
Please note there is a minimum of 40 guests required in order to confirm the boat cruise. If minimum participation numbers are not reached by April 25, 2016, your ticket price will be refunded.
Update: The cruise providers have given an extension to April 30th to book your ticket!
