After the conference join us for either a half or full day tour exploring some of the beautiful historic sights in and around Beijing!<\/p>\n

The half day tour is $45 USD per person and takes us to the Forbidden City and Tian\u2019anmen Square. Ticket price includes a private vehicle for our group (A\/C,\u00a0no smoking, & working seat belts) with an English speaking tour guide, entrance\u00a0ticket, and bottles of purified drinking water.<\/p>\n

We start out discovering the\u00a0Forbidden City<\/a> which was the former Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty, and it now houses the Palace Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0Then a walk through the Tian\u2019anmen Square (“Gate of Heavenly Peace”) site which contains the\u00a0Monument to the People’s Heroes, the\u00a0Great Hall of the People, the\u00a0National Museum of China, and the\u00a0Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. We will learn about its great cultural significance as the home to\u00a0several\u00a0important events\u00a0in Chinese history.<\/p>\n

We will then stop for lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, for those on the full day tour lunch is included in your package. For those on the half day tour lunch will be $12 USD, after which you will be returned to the hotel.
\nOf course you can also elect to depart from the group after the first half of the tour to seek out other attractions around Beijing or return to the hotel at your own charge.<\/p>\n

The full day tour is $85 USD per person, where we will enjoy the sites in & round the Forbidden CIty\u00a0with those on the half day tour and then a break for lunch (included in the full day price). Afterwards we are off to visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall!\"\"\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Visitors have the option to hike the beautiful walking paths (approximately 40 minutes to the peak), or for 120CNY\/~$17 USD you can enjoy a ride to the top taking in the sites and lush greenery from above on the chair lift. After taking in the panoramic views from atop the wall you can take a leisurely sled ride (or zip along a little faster if you’re looking for some fun!) down the slope to return to the base, this is included in your fare for the chair lift.<\/p>\n
